"descriptions": {"en": "The 49th annual congress of the Société de Biomécanique took place at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) from 29th to 31st October 2024. UTC was one of the pioneers in biomechanics and biomedical engineering since its creation in 1972. About 250 researchers, clinicians and industrial partners were present. Following a review process involving at least two reviewers per article, the Scientific Committee of the congress has selected 123 abstracts for publication in the newly launched Multidisciplinary Biomechanics Journal (MBJ).
